Terms of Service

By creating an account, browsing school listings, submitting a review, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you can form a binding contract with School Scout, that you are at least 18 years of age (or are using the Service under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms), and that you accept these Terms in full.

School Scout is a school discovery and comparison platform for parents and guardians in India. We provide school profiles, fee and facility information, parent reviews, comparison tools, and the ability to send enquiries to schools. School Scout is not affiliated with, and does not represent, any school unless explicitly stated, and does not guarantee admission, enrolment, or any outcome with any school listed on the Service.

• You must provide accurate, current and complete information when creating an account, and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (including your PIN/password) and for all activity under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at support@myschoolscout.in.
• The Service is intended for use by parents, guardians, and prospective students researching schools — not for commercial scraping, resale, or unauthorised bulk data collection.

When you submit a review, rating, reply, enquiry, or any other content through the Service ("User Content"), you represent that it is accurate, based on your genuine experience, and does not violate any law or third-party right. You grant School Scout a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, moderate, edit or remove any User Content that we believe, in our sole discretion, is false, defamatory, abusive, spam, or otherwise violates these Terms or applicable law.

School profiles, fees, facilities, admission timelines and other details on the Service are compiled from information provided by schools, publicly available sources, and user submissions. While we work to keep this information accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy at all times. Always verify fees, admission requirements, and other critical details directly with the school before making any decisions or payments.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent reviews or content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service using automated means without our prior written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity (including any school).

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software (excluding User Content and third-party/school-provided content), is owned by School Scout and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written permission.

Our website displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and may contain links to third-party websites (including school websites). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site or advertisement. Your interactions with third parties, including advertisers, found on or through the Service are solely between you and that third party.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT SCHOOL INFORMATION ON THE SERVICE IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE AT ALL TIMES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCHOOL SCOUT AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY DECISION MADE BASED ON INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY SCHOOL ADMISSION OR ENROLMENT DECISION.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by contacting us at support@myschoolscout.in.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
