Ling Lliang High School

The late Rev. Dr. & Mrs. T. David Lamb, a highly dedicated missionary couple that came to India from Shanghai, China in 1949, founded the Ling Liang High School School in January 1974. They brought with them a keen respect for literacy and did commendable piece of pioneering work in the field of education which finally resulted in the establishment of two outstanding educational institutions, one in Central Kolkata and other in the eastern suburbs of Kolkata.
They dedicated themselves to the service of the children and the needy engaging themselves to be a sign of God’s love among people. This educational institution is the expression of love and thoughtfulness towards education and children.
It is interesting to note that the place where this institution stands today was once a low-lying marshy land far from being of any useful purpose. It was at this time that the searching eyes of the Lambs fell upon this forsaken land of filth and dirt and transformed in into a lovable land of beautiful education structures. That this institution should ever stand for the total development of human personality is the cherished goal of the founders.
