Chinmaya Vidyalaya

The foundation stone for CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA, ANNANAGAR was laid by the great visionary his Holiness. Swami Chinmayanandaji on 1st January 1989 with a strength of 11students, four faculty members, the school started functioning. His Holiness Swami. Siddhanandaji, Acharya, Philadelphia, initiated the students to “Akshara Abhyasa”. The Silver Jubilee celebrations of the school were held in the year 2014. His Holiness Swami Tejomayanandaji, Head, Chinmaya Mission World Wide graced the occasion and blessed the gathering. The school has carved a niche for itself in terms of being one of the best schools in Chennai with an excellent and long standing academic record. Vision & Mission The inner transformation of individuals through knowledge of Vedanta, spiritual practices and service to society, resulting in a happy world around them. We are trying in our Vidyalayas to educate the children to score in the material world following the secular syllabus prescribed by the Government, but in an atmosphere, of spiritual presence. We select, train and therefore expect our teachers to have such a spiritual balance in themselves that they can spread the grace and glory in the classroom. Under such a gracious canopy of moral and ethical charm, we find the students blooming into men and women, self-controlled, disciplined and dynamically striving with a magnificent vision.
