Atomic Energy Central Schools and Junior Colleges are managed by the Atomic Energy Education Society (AEES), an autonomous body under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. Governed by a council comprising senior officers, distinguished scientists from DAE, and eminent educationists from across the country, AEES schools are spread across multiple locations including Mumbai, Tarapur, Hyderabad, Manuguru, Jaduguda, Narwapahar, Turamdih, Kakrapar, OSCOM, Indore, Rawatbhata, Kalpakkam, Anupuram, Kudankulam, Kaiga, Mysore, and Narora. The curriculum from Classes I to X follows the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan model, while Classes XI and XII are affiliated to either the CBSE, Delhi or respective State Boards, depending on regional requirements.
