Durgabai Deshmukh Mahila Sabha (formerly Andhra Mahila Sabha) -P Obul Reddy Public School is a Co-Educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), running classes from NURSERY to XII.

The school is named after the two eminent founding members vis-à-vis Late Padma Vibhushan Dr.(Smt)Durgabai Deshmukh, a public activist for women's emancipation, and Shri Obul Reddy, an industrialist, philanthropist and patron of the arts, who have been uplifting the cause of education in the society.

The school opened its portals to education in the year 1989 and this year has completed 35 glorious years of its existence. The quality education imparted since its inception has been instrumental in earning brand value to the name AMS P. Obul Reddy Public School. 

It is one of the units functioning under Durgabai Deshmukh Mahila Sabha which is reputed NGO founded by Late Padma Vibhushan Dr.(Smt)Durgabai Deshmukh in the year 1937.The organization is involved in several Social Service activities like women upliftment, Education, rehabilitation of variously disabled children, health, homes for the aged etc.

Children coming from poor economic background with merit are given financial assistance in the form of freeship, free transport, school uniform and books. We have a student strength of 3000 under the tutelage of about 125+ trained and qualified teachers.

The school has modern laboratories for conducting practical classes in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Home Science, Computers and ATAL Lab. Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) is one of the flagship schemes proposed under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). ATL was inaugurated on 28.10.2020, where the students can practically experiment with the knowledge, try to restructure the theories learned in the classroom and see the transformed results. It has well stocked libraries with excellent reading rooms. A state-of-art SPORTS COMPLEX provides facilities for games such as Basketball, Volley ball, Throw ball, Tennis and Cricket net practising pitch. An amphitheatre for spectators is annexed to the Basket Ball court.

A spacious Auditorium is provided for co-curricular and extra curricular activities. Class rooms are provided with Audiovisual aids that make learning easy through Smart Boards.

An indoor sports complex and multipurpose hall have been added to the infrastructure thus keeping in sync with the school’s philosophy of providing contemporary education.

The results of the school have been consistently commendable over the past three decades. The students achieve 100% pass result, most of the students qualifying with distinction and above 60% marks in the board exams conducted by CBSE for classes X and XII.

With a 360o approach and holistic educational pedagogy, the students excel equally well in co-curricular and extra curricular activities. The students bring laurels and accolades in academics and sports every year.
