764+ Best Class 5 Schools in Deccan Gymkhana, Pune 2027-28

Class 5 is the final year of primary school, and for many parents it's the last low-risk opportunity to switch schools before the board-exam years begin. Children completing Class 5 must be 10–11 years old. Many parents who've been unsatisfied with their child's current school — academics, environment, distance — make the move now rather than disrupting Class 6 or beyond. Some CBSE and ICSE schools run a formal entrance assessment for Class 6 admissions (not Class 5 lateral), so if you're targeting a specific school for Class 6, plan the transfer strategy now. Class 5 lateral admissions are usually straightforward: TC, mark sheet, and a brief interaction. Seats open up when students leave after completing Class 5 internally.
