65+ Best Class 3 Schools in Kelambakkam, Chennai 2027-28

Class 3 lateral transfers are routine at most schools and carry no academic stigma. A child moving cities with their family, or parents who want a better-fit school after observing Class 1–2, typically make this switch. Schools ask for the Class 2 report card, TC (Transfer Certificate) from the previous school, and address proof. Some schools run a brief informal assessment to gauge the child's reading and maths level — not to screen out, but to understand where the child is. Fees at Class 3 level are typically the same as for other primary classes at the same school. Compare fee structures carefully: some schools have a separate development fee or building fund that's not reflected in the headline fee.
