65+ Best Class 12 Schools in Egmore, Chennai 2027-28

Class 12 is the final board-exam year and the most constrained transfer scenario. CBSE, ICSE and most State Boards require continuous enrollment from Class 11 in the same school for board registration — mid-year transfers that break this continuity can jeopardise the student's board exam eligibility. Transfers before the start of Class 12 (i.e., after completing Class 11 elsewhere) are possible at some schools, subject to seat availability and board registration timelines. This is most relevant for students relocating cities between Class 11 and 12, or those moving from a school that doesn't have a strong Class 12 track record. If you're considering this, contact both the current school and the target school before April — board registration windows are tight and inflexible.
