476+ Best Class 10 Schools in Ashok Vihar Phase 1, Gurgaon 2027-28

Class 10 lateral transfers are rare for good reason — board exams happen at the end of this year, and switching schools mid-board cycle carries real academic risk. CBSE and ICSE boards have specific rules about mid-year registration changes; verify directly with the board before initiating a transfer. That said, transfers do happen: families relocating cities have no choice, and a few schools accept Class 10 transfers for students who moved after April. If the transfer is unavoidable, ensure the board registration is carried over correctly — a lapse here can affect the student's Class 10 result. Schools that do accept Class 10 transfers usually assess the candidate and decide case-by-case rather than through a formal admissions round.
